The Lip Blush Procedure

Step 1: Prior to starting the lip blushing procedure, you will come in for an initial visit, where we will discuss the target colour and answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Your artist will outline and add shape, making perfect symmetry.

Step 3: The area around your lips will be numbed using a topical anesthetic cream.

Step 4: The implant pigment will be deposited into the skin using a permanent makeup device.

Step 5: Your artist will go over the area multiple times to ensure even coverage.

Step 6: Once the desired colour is achieved, the area will be cleaned, and a protective ointment will be applied.

Step 7: After you’ve gone through this entire process, you will be given aftercare instructions to follow in the days and weeks following your appointment to help reduce swelling and pain.

Step 8:  Come back for a touch up in one month! Please
note, for dark lip neutralization more than 1 touch up may be required.

 FAQs

Lip blushing is a permanent makeup procedure that adds a flush of colour to your lips to create an impression of fullness. The pigment is deposited onto your lips and lip line using a small device. Usually, the applied colour is subtle enough to create a natural, more appealing look.
The pigment can last for 1 to 3 years, but the duration still varies from person to person. Depending on skin types, lifestyles, and/or level of sun exposure, lip blush may last shorter or longer than others. That's why it is recommended to get touch-ups to maintain its colour.
Aside from enhancing the colour and overall look of your lips, this procedure can also fix minor asymmetries. If you're also a busy woman, lip blushing can save you more time since you won't need to retouch and fix smudges every now and then.
After getting this cosmetic procedure, expect some minor swelling, redness and pain. You may also experience itchiness, rashes, scars, and uneven colouring. While these side effects are perfectly normal, they may lead to serious infections if not properly treated with the right aftercare. Consult a doctor if you're starting to feel severe pain and/or discomfort. If you’re prone to cold sores, it is recommended that you speak to your doctor before getting a lip blush, as it may cause a viral reaction.
Yes, however, it is highly recommended to get this procedure at least 1 month after your lip filler application-. This gives your lips enough time to heal. Don't worry because the tattoo pigment won't affect the fillers since we're working on a different skin layer. If you're also planning to get the readministering of your lip fillers, it is advisable to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks after your lip tattoo.
Yes. This procedure can be done to cover fordyce spots.
It depends on a person's pain tolerance. You may feel a little tingly or prickly sensation during the tattoo. But an anesthetic will be applied prior to the procedure, so there's no need to fear.
The healing process may take up to 3-10 days. During the healing process, expect to feel dryness of the lips and that the colour may vary differently than the final colour you want to achieve.
