Does acupuncture hurt?
Though most acupuncture procedures are quite mild and painless, some people do experience some discomfort when the acupuncture needles are placed in various areas of the body. This discomfort is usually described as a 0-2 out of 10 (10 being the worst pain you ever felt). How many acupuncture sessions will I need?
Our acupuncturist will create a personalized treatment plan for your specific condition or needs. After the initial assessment and treatment, they will provide you with all the relevant information you need to achieve your wellness goals. Generally speaking, acupuncture patients start to see positive results in as little as 3-6 treatments.
Will my benefits cover acupuncture?
Though most insurance companies do cover this type of treatment, you will want to check with your insurer to make sure. D&M will always provide you with an invoice you can use to claim your benefits.
